Welcome to a new addition to this years Junior Flag and Stableford Challenge line up. These events are specifically designed to test the skills of each competitor and help them strive to hone their skills whilst keeping the events as fun as possible.

These events will be open to all including those who are not members of the tour, but those that are members will save on entry into each event.

The winners from each category at each event will proceed on to our final event at Carnoustie Golf Links in October which set to be a great event!

Designed for young and old and also for those who are new to the game through to those who are a little further in their golf career!

The Drive

 

40-yard wide fairway – a shot must finish in the fairway to score points.

A ball coming to rest on any of the boundary lines is considered in bounds.

A ball coming to rest on any of the scoring lines will be scored in the longer of the two scoring grids.

In the event of a tie the contestant’s third drive will serve as a tie breaker (followed by second and first if necessary). If a tie still exists, co – champions of the skill will be declared.

Points will be awarded based on distance and accuracy for each age group.

Each shot will be measured using state of the art Flightscope launch monitors

 

 

 

 

 

The Chip

 

Each participant will attempt three 10-15 yard shots at the scoring hole. All shots will be measured from the center of the hole with clearly marked scoring rings.

A ball coming to rest on any of the scoring lines will be scored in the higher of the two point rings.

In the event of a tie the contestant’s third chip will serve as a tie breaker (followed by second and first if necessary). If a tie still exists co-champions of the skill will be declared.

The Putt

 

Each participant will attempt one putt from each distance (6 feet, 15 feet and 30 feet). Putts will be measured from the center of the hole with clearly marked scoring rings.

A ball coming to rest on any of the scoring lines will be scored in the higher of the two point rings.

In the event of a tie the contestant’s third putt will serve as a tie breaker (followed by second and first if necessary). If a tie still exists co-champions of the skill will be declared.
